The American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics (AAMP) committee for Qualty of Life (QOL) developed the Oral Cancer Index (OCI) between 2000 and 2006.

Working together the QOL committee developed a comprehensive questionaire of 133 questions. Item reduction was completed 3-23-2006. Validation of the questionnaire remains to be done.

The title of this instrument is AAMP-OCI and is composed of the Item Reduction to 42 questions. This is the only QOL instrument that includes Prosthesis questions.
